Frequently asked wedding questions
![]() |
There's always a lot to think about when choosing your wedding photographer. Here are some of the questions I get asked most often. How many photographs will we end up with? After the artistic edit is done, you can expect to end up with around 200-300 photographs. These will be a mix of colour and black & white images, all full-size and high resolution. Will we own copyright on our photographs?Yes. I grant full copyright permissions to each client, so you can print, reproduce and share your final photographs as many times as you like, without further cost. How will you supply our photographs? In the first instance, via a secure online proofing gallery, where you can view your photographs as many times as you like for four weeks. After that, I will provide you with an archive disk containing JPEGs of the high resolution, full size photographs from your day. How does the wedding book voucher work? The standard wedding package fee includes a £100 voucher towards a wedding book of your photographs. Clients normally order these books after they have seen their final photographs and have chosen a size and number of pages for their book. Wedding books range in price from £100 to £275, so whichever you choose, you simply deduct the voucher value from your chosen book price. Payment for wedding books is due at the time of order and includes design, layout and delivery costs. Can we see sample wedding books before we order?Yes of course! I have sample books to show clients and will bring these along to our pre-wedding consultation. How soon after our wedding will we receive our photographs?Your online proofing gallery will go live within 14 days of your wedding and you will receive your archive disk soon after you get back from your honeymoon. Wedding books take a little longer, but once you have specified the photographs you'd like to use and have provided the readings and any other words you'd like to include, delivery of your finished book will normally be a within three weeks. How long will you be with us at our wedding? The standard package includes five hours of photography on your wedding day, which is normally plenty of time to cover you getting ready beforehand, arriving at the ceremony and then moving on to the reception and your wedding breakfast, but if you would like me to be with you from the very start to the very end, that's fine! Simply add £100 to your package for every additional hour you'd like me to stay with you. What if I want you for less time than the standard package offers?I am to be as flexible as possible, so just drop me a line or give me a call and I can give you a quote tailored to your individual requirements. Are there any hidden costs we need to think about? No. The only extra costs are at your discretion and relate to your wedding book choice (if you choose a book that is priced over and above your £100 voucher value) and any extra hours you'd like me to stay with you over and above the five hours of the standard package. Please note however, I do charge mileage for weddings outside Oxfordshire.
